Charli Adams ft. Ruston Kelly – Headspace
Charismatic, indie sensation Charli Adams shares captivating new effort “Headspace” featuring Ruston Kelly – the latest cut taken from her debut album Bullseye, set for release on July 16th via Color Study. The follow-up to acclaimed previous single “Cheer Captain” out last month, “Headspace” sees Adams step away from her conservative upbringing in Alabama and instead focus on her memories of romance in this coming-of-age cut. “‘Headspace’ is about being so in love with someone that it physically hurts really bad,” the songwriter reveals. “When you’re almost mad at yourself for still loving this person. It’s kind of a contradiction in the chorus ‘I stood at the door of your place, wondering how to get out of this headspace.’ You’re standing at their front door wondering how to not think about them.”
Klingande ft. Rogelio Douglas, Jr. – Better Man (Club Mix)
Released on March 26th, Multi-platinum French DJ and producer Klingande brought us single “Better Man,” featuring US actor, singer-songwriter and dancer Rogelio. “Better Man” combines poignant piano chords and a soulful bassline with Rogelio’s soaring, pitch-perfect vocals. Now, the pairing brings us a Club Mix of the OG track, which features a more intense drop and unique background beats and sounds, enhancing the track to be even more club-ready than the original.
Monolink – Harlem River / Falling
With the worldwide release of his second studio album Under Darkening Skies just weeks away, German singer-songwriter, electronic music producer, and multi instrumentalist Monolink unveils two more tracks taken from the impending long player, as he drops his breathtaking new EP, “Harlem River / Falling.” Igniting the double-sided cut with the spellbinding opener “Harlem River,” Monolink shares his cover of Kevin Morby’s iconic 2013 single of the same name, delivering a sophisticated blend of warped synth leads and trippy vocal refrains, all brought together underneath a veil of slick, organic instrumentation. On the flip, Monolink lowers the tempo considerably for the emphatic closer “Falling,” by exploring a rich tapestry of contrasting timbres and tones. Combining lethargic, stripped-back polyrhythms, intricately-layered textures, and powerful chord stabs with trademark flair, Monolink concludes a remarkable EP release whilst simultaneously offering a tantalizing preview of one the most eagerly-awaited album releases of 2021.

It marks Syn Cole’s second single release of the new year, following “Breathe,” the acclaimed January release featuring Norwegian singer-songwriter kaspara that has since amassed more than 5M Spotify streams. “When I was sent this vocal topline, I instantly liked the summer vibe of it.” Syn Cole explains. “For the track I combined uplifting melodies with warm chord progressions and I’m really happy with the result.”
Helion & Joe Killington – Got You
23-year old producer/DJ Helion releases his third single of the year, “Got You,” a collaboration with Joe Killington, out now via Ultra Records. Prior to this new track, Helion released single “Make Lemonade” about a month ago on April 16th. “Make Lemonade” has a playful melody throughout over a deep bass instrumental. The post-chorus drop brings a light hearted string-like synth in bringing the energy of the song back to being upbeat and fun even though the lyrics tell a very different story. “Got You” features deep, soulful vocals and a fast-paced background beat. The track is super catchy and features multiple captivating instrumentals, making it club-ready for sure!
Luca Schreiner & Mokita – Feels Good
Back in mid-January, producer Luca Schreiner brought us a remix of Vanessa Carlton’s iconic 2001 track “A Thousand Miles,” in collaboration with London-based artist Beth Duck.
