Secret spots, chill spots, night spots & beyond. . .

It has been an incredibly difficult 12 months for the entertainment industry, with live music and festivals grinding to a halt last March, leaving artists, traders, crew and events staff without work. However, the world is slowly opening back up again and Beyond The Tracks will be making a grand return this August with one mission – to get the Birmingham live music scene back on track. Tickets go on sale from 10am Friday 14th May.
Miami based producer and DJ Kate Ozz is a fast rising name in the melodic techno space, and has been making a name for herself in the past six months with releases with esteemed labels including Disco Halal and Soulfooled. We decided to ask Kate to share her favourite Miami destinations including bars, restaurants and why she loves the city
What are some of your favorite secret spots including (Food/Drink/Hotels/Museums)
Even though Miami is a pretty young city, it is bursting with hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. I have lots of places to go or visit, it’s very difficult to choose, definitely we are spoiled with here. Among the secret spots restaurants I would say Pura Vida (healthy and delicious), Hoja Taqueria – the best Taco place in downtown Miami, Doma or KYU in Winwood Miami for lunch. I really love new concept recently opened by Dave Grutman and Pharrell “The Good Time Hotel” with Pool deck and restaurant “Strawberry Moon”. Perez Art Museum definitely place to visit too with great exhibitions of contemporary artworks by international artists.
Favourite spots (restaurants/bars) to chill out?
The options are endless here, one my favourites – Casa Tua Restaurant, it’s a culinary destination, plus part boutique hotel and private membership club. I also Like Swan restaurant, located in the heart of Miami’s Design District, where you can dine and after go upstairs to the amazing Bar Bevy. One more place I would like to mention is The Living Room Bar at Faena Hotel, nice place with live entertainment and good selection of wines and cocktails.

Favourite spots for a night out?
Club Space and “Do not sit on the furniture” my favourites. Always best DJs and great vibes.
