We’re joined by the UK based, funky, groovy, soulful music collective, Franc Moody to give us the lowdown on their sound, favourite places to travel to, latest single and more.

Their new single ‘Skin on Skin’ can be streamed here.

Where are you from and where do you currently call home?

Currently based in a cupboard in North West London?

How did the name Franc Moody come about?

Had the ingenious idea of using both of our surnames (Ned Franc and Jon Moody).

How would you best describe your sound?

Cragged out funk, soul and dance with nuggets of good times on the side.

Tell us about the experience of seeing a live Franc Moody show…

We always aim to translate the raw energy and chaotic nature of the Warehouse Parties we used to run in Tottenham. Expect oboes, keytars, sweat n? tears.

What was the inspiration behind your latest single ?Skin On Skin??

I guess it’s a bit of an ode to our soul inspirations of old with a Franc Moody lilt. It?s also quite sexy.

Can you share any of your favourite London hidden gems with us?

Ain?t Nothin’ But The Blues Bar on Kingly Street is a Blues Club where we cut our teeth as players and is always a good hang.

The best place on earth though is Mannions Prince Arthur in Tottenham where the first seeds of Franc Moody were sown over copious amounts of Guinness and Tayto?s.

Where are you looking forward to travelling to on your next tour and why?

Dublin is ALWAYS a vibe, definitely a home from home for Franc Moody and Warsaw is definitely high up on the list as we?ve never played in Poland before.

What can we expect from Franc Moody in 2020?

Our debut album ?Dream In Colour? is out on February 28th which is seriously crazy exciting! After that we?ll be on the road with the band doing headline tours in the UK, Europe and the US and plenty of festival dates over the summer.

Thanks guys!
