Amid the uncertainty surrounding travel and music festivals going ahead, we’re still lucky enough to speak to the artists who make the events so special. This week we speak to Harvey from duo ‘Everyone you know’ ahead of their debut performance at AMP Lost & Found in Malta.
Check out their new single ‘Seen it all’ here.

Where are you from?
I?m from Denham, just outside Uxbridge but have spent a large part of my life in various areas of West London whether that be college, going out or seeing family.
How can you best describe your sound?
Our sound has a very familiar vibe about it yet is still completely unique, I think that?s why we get compared to people/bands like ?The Streets? and ?Chase & Status? they both have a sound that appeals to everyone and takes influence from multiple genres yet still sounds very original.

Who are your biggest musical influences?
The list is endless but mainly 90s east coast Hip Hop along with 80s/90s breakbeat & hardcore (or rave music in general). Those two cultures really stood for something and bought people together, which is something that we definitely are trying to achieve.
Your single ?She Don?t Dance? made the soundtrack of the popular computer game FIFA 20 – How did you feel when you saw this?
I was buzzing. It?s still so surreal playing Fifa and hearing one of our tunes come on. I?ve grown up with Fifa all my life so to be featured on the game was definitely a tick off the bucket list.

What are your favourite hometown hangouts?
There?s a few actually. Love the old snooker hall in Uxbridge called ?Escape? you?ll find me in there at least 4 days of the week, next door you?ve got Atik which is decent but I?m not really a night club man. Would rather a pint in Whelans on Uxbridge High Street.
How excited are you to play at AMP Lost and Found in Malta?
I can?t wait. It?s our first time playing at Lost & Found as well as playing in Malta, I?ve heard great things about both so yeah I?m looking forward to it for sure!
As you’ve grown up together, do you feel it’s much easier to make music and play gigs beside one another?

Yeah, 100%. I couldn?t even begin to imagine what it would be like doing it by myself, to be honest I probably couldn?t do it by myself. Having my brother (Rhys) there with me all the way is wicked and something I wouldn?t ever change.
Beach club, sweaty rave or acoustic night?
Sweaty rave all day, especially if it?s at Printworks or Fabric.

What can we expect from you next?
We?re currently working on our first album, which is already sounding wicked. Other than that we?re back out on the road on another UK Tour in March/April and off to America in May. Then we?ll be back in the studio writing more tunes.
Thanks Harvey!
