During the winter months when it’s rainy and depressing, we tend to cast our minds forward to the sunny days ahead and more specifically, the summer music festivals we plan to attend. With this in mind we’ve put together a list of our picks for the best summer festivals from around Europe.

AMP LOST & FOUND

Where: Various venues, Malta.

When: 30th April – 3rd May 2020.

What to expect: Malta?s leading music festival AMP Lost & Found will celebrate its sixth anniversary on 30th April – 3rd May, promising good vibes only. Curated by DJ and Radio 1 tastemaker Annie Mac, the festival kick starts the summer season with four days and four nights on the stunning Mediterranean island, complete with a unique castle rave, beach, boat & pool parties, plus a world-class nighttime site.

A melting pot of genres across rap, bass, house, techno and beyond sees the likes of Aitch, Slowthai, Ms Banks, Benji B, Honey Dijon, Seth Troxler, Helena Hauff & many more on this year’s bill, with the festival hugely responsible for establishing Malta as a must-visit festival destination.

KALA

Where: 10th – 17th June 2020.

When: Dh?rmi, Albania.

Who’s Playing: MOODYMANN – 808 STATE – JAYDA G – OPTIMO – MARCELLUS PITTMAN – SKEE MASK & MANY MORE

How much: Packages from ?272 pp.

What to expect: Kala Festival returns to the stunning, unspoilt coastline of the Albanian Riviera next summer for its third edition.

Taking place on 10th – 17th June at the idyllic beach location of Dh?rmi, the week-long festival combines an array of DJs and live acts with paradisiacal landscapes, heavenly food and wellness activities – finding that sweet spot between music festival and summer getaway.

FRESH ISLAND

Where: Zr?e Beach, Croatia.

When: 4-9th July 2020.

Who’s Playing: WIZKID – DABABY – D-BLOCK EUROPE –  SEMTEX – TIM WESTWOOD & MANY MORE

How much: 3 Days Start from ?103  / Week Starts from  ?163.

What to expect: Dubbed Europe’s biggest and most popular urban beach festival, Croatia?s Fresh Island (rebranded as Fresh Island Week) returns next 4-9th July. Wizkid, DaBaby, D-Block Europe, Semtex and Tim Westwood are amongst the first names locked for an unmissable 6 days of sun, beach and vibes along the idyllic Adriatic shores.

KAPPA FUTUR FESTIVAL

Where: PARCO DORA, TORINO, ITALY

When: 4-5th July 2020.

Who’s Playing: TBA.

What to expect: The world-renowned festival?s 9th edition will take place between 4-5th July returning to the famous Parco Dora in central Turin and promises to be its most ambitious event yet, boasting the winning formula of spectacular weather, top-class production and an unbeatable line-up plus so much more – all soon to be revealed.

EXIT

Where: Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad, Serbia.

When: 9-12th July 2020.

Who’s Playing: David Guetta, Tyga, James Arthur, Fatboy Slim, Boris Brejcha, Sepultura, Meduza, ARTBAT and Zhum & many many more to be announced.

How much: Starting at ?89 – Regular ticket & ?220 – VIP ticket.

What to expect: Just a short ride away from the Serbian capital Belgrade, the magical Petrovaradin Fortress set high on the banks of the river Danube in Novi Sad provides the perfect setting for the EXIT Festival. The award winning festival has something for music lovers of all genres with a diverse mix of artists performing on numerous stages connected by cobbled streets, ramparts and tunnels.

Also renowned for it?s amazing atmosphere and energy the Dance Arena champions the who?s who in the electronic music world set in the awe inspiring moat of the fortress, it?s that special moment when the suns rays shine over the fortress walls and your favourite tune is belting through the soundsystem and into your soul!

SONUS

Where: Zrce Beach, Pag, Croatia.

When: 16-20 August 2020.

Who’s Playing: Dixon, FISHER, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler, Patrick Topping, Maceo Plex, Sven V?th and many, many more.

How much: ?First Phase? tickets now on sale for ?159. VIP tickets are also available for the price of ?279.

What to expect: Taking place at the world-famous Zrce Beach on the 16-20 August, Sonus has unveiled no fewer than 44 names for its phase one lineup announcement, with further high-profile artists including ?me, Ben Klock, Chris Liebing, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice and Maceo Plex.

Many more names are still to be announced, as are the lineups for the opening party, boat parties and after parties.
