Looking at where to party in 2019? Music fans should look no further than the Mediterranean island of Malta, a place that proves good things really do come in small packages.
1. A fast-rising music destination: It may only be small, but Malta?s music offering is certainly mighty. The island has been on the rise for a good few years now, with Annie Mac?s AMP Lost & Found calling it home since 2015 ? with a range of parties including a one of a kind castle rave! ? plus the likes of Glitch, Summer Daze and Isle of MTV. ABODE on The Rock also takes place on the nearby island of Gozo, and open-air club Numero Uno is a favourite amongst locals.

2. Annie Mac is an official Festival Ambassador of Malta! As mentioned AMP Lost & Found Festival is at the heart of the island?s burgeoning music scene, and to mark this curator Annie Mac was recently crowned ?Festival Ambassador of Malta? by the Malta Tourism Authority. After announcing the first wave of line-up for the 2019 edition which features Chase & Status, The Black Madonna & Patrick Topping, Annie said ?It?s been such a dream to bring so many young, brilliant people to discover Malta and its welcoming culture.?

3. An island of culture: In 2018, Malta?s capital city Valetta was declared the European Capital of Culture. The city is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and was built as a city-fortress by the Knights of St John following the Great Siege of 1565, with its plethora of stone walls and medieval style buildings making it a popular choice for film locations ? Game of Thrones, Gladiator, Troy & Captain Phillips all shot scenes on the island!

4. A friendly welcome: Despite its size, Malta serves to over 100 direct destinations and this is increasing rapidly ? in 2017 the island had over 6 million passengers pass through which was an impressive 17.5% growth. Their second language is English so Brits needn?t worry about bringing a phrase book, and the locals are renowned for being super friendly.

5. Sun, sun & sun! No holiday would be complete without sunshine, so it helps that Malta benefits from 300 days of sunshine a year. Located in the Mediterranean Sea between Sicily and North Africa, the picturesque coastline provides plenty of insta-worthy moments. See Malta Doors for inspo!
